Carer Level 3

This position is by appointment only and the employee will be expected to have or be working towards a ertificate IV in Community Services - Aged Care or will have more than 5 years relevant experience.

Carer Level 3 in addition to the Carer's role will have designated responsibilities which may include, but not limited to, any of the following portfolio responsibilities:

  • Recognised trainer in manual handling
  • Recognised continence link employee
  • Trained Occupational Safety & Health Representative
  • Recognised Braemar trained Mentor

The Attributes

  • Willingness to embrace the Christian principles of Braemar Presbyterian Care
  • 5 years relevant experienced in Residential Aged Care Facilities
  • Demonstrated competence in documentation, basic wound management and medication management
  • Experience in guiding and mentoring personnel
  • Well developed verbal, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and write clear and concise reports
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning & development
  • Ability to work within set standards and protocols
  • Ability to relate to older people with empathy and understanding
  • Current Federal Police Clearance
  • Obtained or working towards Certificate III in Community Services - Aged Care

 Desirable

  • Developing knowledge of ACFI
